Nuvola joined IPHR team in 2023. She contributes to the planning of investigations into suspected atrocity crimes committed by Russian forces in Ukraine and to drafting legal filings to international tribunals. She has an LL.B. in International and European Law gained in the Netherlands and an LL.M. in International Human Rights Law completed in Sweden. Nuvola has previous experience as a trainee in the European Parliament and at the OSCE. She also worked as a Research Assistant at the Raoul Wallenberg Institute for Human Rights and Humanitarian law. Before moving to Brussels, she was working in a small grassroots association in Sicily investigating migrants’ reception conditions on the island. She is interested in international justice mechanisms, international humanitarian law and migration.
