Anne Sunder-Plassmann joined IPHR in 2014. She conducts research, produces publications together with the organization’s partner groups and contributes to IPHR’s advocacy and project development.
Anne studied in Bonn, St. Petersburg and Hamburg and holds an M.A. in Slavonic Studies and Eastern European History from Hamburg University. From 1999 until 2014, she worked as campaigner, then researcher in the Eurasia team of Amnesty International’s International Secretariat, first based in London, then in Vienna. Based in Hamburg, she has, since 2022, also worked as a psychosocial counsellor for refugees and migrants from Ukraine, Russia and other former Soviet countries.
