Cosa porterai a casa:

Join us this July for an unforgettable creative experience at CASA VITALI, where we blend the magic of ancient photography with hands-on artmaking and human connection.
Day 1: Camera Obscura – Build Your Own Pinhole Camera
📅 Friday, July 25 at 11:00
We’ll dive into the origins of photography by building pinhole cameras from matchboxes, inspired by the ancient Camera Obscura. You’ll learn about the fascinating history of this magical tool, create your own analogue camera, and venture outside to “hunt” for photographs. After you can leave your films with us, we will develop and scan them for you, so the next day we can all look at what we created together before the cyanotype workshop. The workshop will be delivered by artist and curator Giorgi Rodionov.
Day 2: Cyanotype – Printing with Sun
📅 Saturday, July 26 at 11:00
Cyanotype – Printing with Sun
Step back into the 19th century and explore one of the oldest and most magical photographic printing processes – cyanotype! This nearly 200 years old technique uses sunlight and simple iron salt solutions to create beautiful, unique blueprints.
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to make your own cyanotype prints, just as engineers and botanists did over a century ago – no darkroom needed! Whether the sun is shining or we use a UV lamp, you’ll experience the magical chemistry behind these blue images.
No prior experience is required. We provide all the paper and chemicals – you just come as you are. If you have any pressed flowers, leaves, or grasses, feel free to bring them along to add a personal touch to your prints, though it’s completely optional. The workshop will be delivered by a photographer, Mano Svanidze.
What You’ll Take Home:
No experience needed — just bring your curiosity and creativity. Let’s awaken the artist in you!
