Tajikistan: Follow-up submission to the UN Human Rights Committee

The NGO Coalition against Torture in Tajikistan, International Partnership for Human Rights, Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights (Poland) and the Norwegian Helsinki Committee jointly submitted a document to the United Nations (UN) Human Rights Committee prior to the consideration of Tajikistan under the Committee’s follow-up procedure that will take place in Geneva in October/November 2015 (115th Session).

The briefing provides up-to-date information about developments on issues addressed by the Human Rights Committee in its July 2013 Concluding Observations No. 16 and No. 23 pertaining to torture and other ill-treatment and the right to freedom of association in Tajikistan.
