The NGO Coalition of Kazakhstan against Torture, International Partnership for Human Rights, and the World Organization Against Torture submitted a report ahead of the 76th Session of the United Nations Committee Against Torture on Kazakhstan.

The issues covered in the report include criminalisation of torture and ill-treatment, violation of legal safeguards, investigation and accountability for torture, detention conditions, social protection and more.

Importantly, the document contains new concerns that have not been raised in the previous reporting cycles.
