The NGO coalitions against torture in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan together with the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights (HFHR, Poland) and International Partnership for Human Rights (IPHR, Belgium) have issued the first in a planned series of e-newsletters. The newsletter, which is produced as part of a joint project of these NGOs, is intended as a useful resource for local human rights defenders and a source of information on activities and issues of concern of NGO coalition members for other interested local and international professionals.

The first issue presents the three coalitions against torture and their work and provides an overview of regional cooperation between them and their international partners.
